PERSONALITY.
at the best of times, cae is an intelligent but anxious young man. he has some confidence but it can be easily shake by unexpected surprises. around people he knows he opens up more, smiles with a less anxious edge to it. he's used to being forgettable after growing up in a space colony that has had a chronic overcrowding problem for years. it's easier to survive when people don't notice you as much after all. when he's stressed he tends to shut down and is easy to push towards an emotional outburst. while he may be a timid sort, once he's made friends with someone he tends to be loyal to the end.
BRIEF HISTORY.
cae grew up in a small but loving family. on a station where mandatory education ceased at 13 his parents cared enough to keep paying for his schooling after that. things were good until his 15th year when a fever ran rampant through the population. the entire family got sick but only cae got better. after that he was sent to live with his aunt who already had several children of her own and no time to raise an anxious orphan she hadn't planned on. he was taken out of secondary classes soon after. his universe is one that isn't kind to unnecessary children and in exchange for compensation, cae was offered up to a group of scientists who wished to ship a group of children out into siren quadrant. sirens being a mysterious being that lives in the more remote areas of space, and like their mythical counterparts quite prone to leaving entire ships full of drained bodies.
on the ship he met ivor (stillstar) and the two plan an escape from their certain doom. unfortunately, it goes wrong, and the two end up lost in siren space. Needless to say, things do not go well for them.
